“Cerakote” is the brand name associated with a family of spray on baked coatings that feature a hard ceramic base. Cerakoting a firearm involves a detailed disassembly of the firearm, a degreasing bath, and then the application of one or more colors before the final product is baked and reassembled. Finishes can be simple and utilitarian or flashy and detailed and both metal and plastic can be coated. Coatings require no maintenance and are sure to give new life and protection to nearly any firearm. Prices are set for the type of firearm and already include materials.
